Key Responsibilities of a Medical Officer: 1. Supervision and Coordination: ○ Supervising medical and nursing staff in healthcare settings. ○ Coordinating patient care with other specialists, especially for complex or multi-disciplinary cases. ○ Ensuring that medical protocols and guidelines are followed. 5. Emergency and Critical Care: ○ Responding to emergencies, such as accidents, medical crises, or sudden illness. ○ Stabilizing patients before referring them for advanced care, such as to a specialist or for surgery. 6. Administrative Duties: ○ Medical officers may also be involved in administrative duties, such as policy development, patient flow management, or overseeing daily medical operations in healthcare settings.
