This is a grant-funded contractual position. Job Roles/Responsibilities: Provide quality patient care and diagnostics to pregnant women at the field offices in the districts of Matiari, Tando Muhammad Khn and Mithi including enrolment of patients, serial evaluations including examinations and diagnostics, data collection, maintaining records, and provide counselling. Identification of the patient for the ongoing study and also enrolled patient for the Research study; to follow up the research study patient and update schedule of visit; collect and maintain records of identified cases; ensure participation of community in Research project to increase case reporting; design and plan social mobilization strategies for community people to co-operate/collaborate with Research projects; to provide appropriate guidance to children screen positive with disability or malnourished; training of CHWs & Centre staff, maintaining a working environment in the health centre; monitoring the data collection processes in the field; evaluating and Validating the data collected; development of data collection forms; provide training to field workers, research assistants and other Junior Research Medical Officers; submit weekly and monthly progress report; any other task assigned by the Supervisor. Requirements: MBBS; additional qualification at clinical side would be preferred; at least two years of experience; ability to work in a team; ability to establish harmonious working relations at the place of work; flexibility in taking over additional/new responsibilities when required by project; mature, reliable, and responsible; able to understand and follow instruction; ability to speak and understand job-related English and Urdu. Responsibilities
The Medical Officer will provide quality patient care and diagnostics to pregnant women, including patient enrolment and data collection. They will also be responsible for community engagement and training of health workers.
