To assist with our goals, we are seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to join our dynamic team that can float / travel between our Washington and Manchester locations! ** Traveling to multiple practice locations will be required based on scheduling needs. ** This is a Monday - Friday Day shift position, with No Weekends and No Holidays! Some of the duties include but are not limited to are: Provide technical support to our Ophthalmologist. Assigned to a primary home office location, but travel to other locations will be required upon scheduling needs. Perform basic and specialized eye examinations. Maintain equipment. Take the patient's history. Administer eye exams. clinical and diagnostic testing and eye medications as instructed Able to ensure charts are updated and accurate. Demonstrated working knowledge of eye anatomy, disease, and ocular medications. Have experience with Tonometry, Amslers, Muscle Fields, Pupil Exams, Photography, and in-office procedures. Proficient with EMR computer programs. Perform office administrative duties as needed. The successful candidate will: Be able to work well under pressure, in a high paced fast-moving environment. Be a self-starter, motivated and reliable. Have strong communication skills. Have strong patient care experience. Be detail-oriented and organized. Have the ability to multi-task and work well under pressure. Previous Ophthalmic Retina Technician experience is preferred. Have an understanding of medical terminology about Ophthalmology with Retina specifics preferred.
