Responsibilities
  • Perform acceptance testing, performance evaluations, and routine quality control of imaging equipment, including CT, MRI, ultrasound, X-ray, fluoroscopy, mammography, and nuclear medicine systems
  • Conduct radiation dosimetry, shielding evaluations, and equipment calibrations
  • Ensure compliance with ACR, FDA, Joint Commission, and DHA standards
  • Provide technical guidance for radiation protection and safety procedures
  • Prepare and submit required documentation and performance reports
  • Support the Medical Physics Residency Program through lectures, mentoring, and evaluations
  • Participate in imaging quality assurance activities and accreditation readiness
  • Collaborate with PACS engineers and clinical staff to resolve imaging system issues
  • Provide didactic instruction and consultative services as needed
  • Maintain current knowledge of imaging technologies and regulatory standard
