As a designated Community Umbrella Agency (CUA) for the Department of Human Services, Net Community Care operates CUA1 and CUA7, providing comprehensive child welfare services focused on safety, permanency, and family well-being. Then, being a medical planning specialist may be the role for you. No weekends or on-call. SUMMARY: The Medical Planning Specialist (MPS) is a Licensed Practical Nurse who uses their nursing knowledge to support and enhance the Community Umbrella Agency’s (CUA) capacity to address the needs of children with medical complexities and/or children who are medically vulnerable. This role supports the needs of all children CUA-wide as it relates to serving planning consultation, tracking of medical records, assessing and monitoring progress of children with medical conditions. The MPS will be CUA specific depending on CUA case quantity. The MPS intervention is offered in the home of children with medical complexities and/or children who are medically vulnerable that are receiving In-Home services or NET Foster Care services. Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: · Active/unencumbered LPN License in the state in which services will be performed. · Certificate of completion of an accredited LPN program · Pediatric nursing experience strongly preferred. · Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel preferred. · Computer competence and proficiency required. · Valid Driver’s License and ability to drive agency vehicles. · Current CPR/First Aid/AED certification · Current PA Child Abuse Clearance · Current FBI Clearance · Current PA Criminal Clearance ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: · Free from contagious disease/infection · Must demonstrate genuine empathy and concern for individuals as indicated in NET's vison, mission, and values statements. · Strong working knowledge of computer applications (Microsoft Office) and ability to work with various digital information systems. · Knowledge of general medical/surgical diagnosis and care. Knowledge of pediatric care, community nursing and behavioral healthcare strongly preferred. · Knowledge of culturally competent values, principles and practices required. · Able to work a seven-hour day, five days a week in person. · May be required to use own vehicle when other means of transportation are unavailable. · Health Assessment and TB test required. · 10 child welfare credit hours annually · Ability to work with diverse populations.
