Reporting directly to the General Radiography Supervisor, the successful candidate will play a critical role in our imaging department, demonstrating advanced competence in x-ray imaging techniques, equipment operation, and strong leadership through collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. This Medical Radiation Technologist I (MRT I) position performs quality general radiology, fluoroscopy, CT heads, OR and portable examinations in the busy and dynamic Diagnostic Imaging Department at Chinook Regional Hospital. Close collaboration with technical staff, nursing, patients, physicians, supervisor and management is required.
Description:
As a Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) I, you will perform a variety of standard technical radiological imaging examinations on patients for the purpose of disease and pathology diagnosis. You will interpret physician requisitions, prepare and assess patients for examination and produce high quality diagnostic images for Physician/Radiologist review, and assist with the care and maintenance of equipment. Your work may include a variety of procedures such as general and portable radiography, mobile and surgical suite examinations, as well as fluoroscopy where required.
