Description

London X-ray Associates is currently hiring a casual/part time X-Ray Technologist. As an X-Ray Technologist, you will perform a variety of standardized and complex services. Your responsibilities include preparing the patient for examination, reviewing patient history, explaining procedures, and obtaining images of diagnostic quality according to organizational protocol. You will assist with patient management - all while ensuring a high level of patient care and safety. The successful applicant must be available to work all shifts specific to the department including evenings and weekends. In addition, this position must be flexible to occasional changes in hours when required.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduate from a recognized college/university program in Medical Radiation Technology
  • Registration in good standing with the CMRTIO
  • Continuing education annually as required by the CMRITO
  • Professional Liability Insurance is a requirement
  • Current BLS Certification
  • Current First Aid Certification
  • Follow HIPPA guidelines
  • Should be well versed in infection control requirements and procedures
  • Work based on all regulations and ALARA principles
  • Effective positive communication and interpersonal skills to interact with staff and patients.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well independently and in a collaborative team environment with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to be self-directed, and to critically problem-solve, and prioritize workload.
  • Demonstrated flexibility within roles and responsibilities with the ability to adapt quickly to changes in assignment throughout a shift.
  • Demonstrated commitment to patient safety
  • Must provide compassion and respect for the patient, family and support persons in the provision imaging services
  • Demonstrated previous performance reflective of the Mission, Vision, and Values of London X-ray Associates

COVID-19 Considerations:

  • Successful candidates will need to provide documentation of a completed COVID vaccine series (two vaccines).
