Job Title: Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) – Mammography (Toronto, ON)
Pay Rate: $50–60/hr

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Current registration in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO).
  • Mammography specialty certificate or demonstrated competence in mammographic imaging.
  • CAMRT membership (Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists) is preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical mammography experience (screening and/or diagnostic).
  • Knowledge of breast imaging protocols including screening, diagnostic, and interventional support (e.g., biopsies if applicable).
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and patient care skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-based environment.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are hiring an experienced Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) specialized in Mammography for a short-term placement in Toronto, Ontario (with the possibility of extension). The successful candidate will join a fast-paced clinical environment, providing high-quality diagnostic breast imaging while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
You will be relied upon for your technical expertise, professionalism, and ability to work independently while collaborating with the healthcare team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform high-quality mammographic examinations (screening and diagnostic) according to established protocols and standards.
  • Position patients accurately and ensure patient comfort, dignity, and safety throughout the procedure.
  • Operate and maintain mammography equipment (including digital and tomosynthesis systems if applicable).
  • Monitor image quality and ensure proper documentation of all procedures.
  • Follow radiation safety principles and infection prevention/control standards.
  • Work collaboratively with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Provide clear instructions and compassionate care to patients, addressing questions and concerns.
