We’re seeking a dedicated and organised Receptionist to join our friendly Speech Pathology clinic in Blacktown. If you genuinely care about people, excel at bringing calm and order to a busy workplace, and desire to be part of a connected and supportive team, this role could be perfect for you.

ABOUT US

Your Speech Room is a well-established private practice with a team of 12 speech pathologists. We support children and families with a range of communication and developmental needs. Our approach is personal, family-centred, and grounded in empathy. We value long-term relationships, with both clients and team members. We aim to create a safe, positive space where people feel heard and supported.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Someone available two days per week (Mondays and Thursdays)
  • Someone friendly, calm and reliable;
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills;
  • High attention to detail and organisational ability;
  • Ability to work independently and within a small team;
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an administration/management role, preferably in a private healthcare practice;
  • Excellent organisational (and multitasking) skills with the ability to prioritise and manage competing priorities;
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on creating efficient and effective solutions;
  • Remarkable communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with the clinical team and liaise with external stakeholders.
  • Preferably, you would have an understanding of healthcare compliance including privacy and confidentiality, the NDIS, and industry best practices.
    Please note, this role is not suitable for students (e.g. student speech pathologists) as we are looking for a long term, Part Time/Casual Receptionist.

Responsibilities
  • Welcoming clients and managing the front desk;
  • Answering phone calls and responding to emails;
  • Dealing with client feedback and complaints;
  • Processing payments including processing Medicare and Health Fund Claims;
  • Preparing and maintaining client documents;
  • Managing team schedules so that all team members are happy and well supported;
  • Managing the administrative functions of the practice;
  • Developing and nurturing relationships with all Your Speech Room team members and clients to ensure a first-class client experience is felt at each stage of the client journey.
