About us

The Minimally Invasive Surgery Centre (MISC) is the first facility in Queensland dedicated to advancing the latest Ultra Minimally Invasive Musculoskeletal Interventions and Surgeries.

MISC is home to Maguire Upper Limb, Sports and Orthopaedic Specialists and the Carpal Tunnel Clinic Gold Coast. As an Accredited Day Hospital, we provide a unique environment where you can learn both the “front-of-house” excellence of specialist clinics and the behind-the-scenes coordination that keeps theatre and day procedures running smoothly.

You’ll be exposed to leading-edge procedures such as:

- Ultrasound-Guided Hand Surgery (Carpal Tunnel, Trigger Finger, Dupuytren's)

- Ultrasound-Assisted Arthoscopic Wrist Surgery (De Quervain's, Ganglions)

- Ultrasound-Assisted Arthoscopic Elbow Surgery (Cubital Tunnel, Tennis Elbow)

(No other surgeon in Australia offers all these ultra-minimally invasive surgeries.)

The role

This is a dynamic position combining medical reception, medical administration, and (if desired) clinical assisting.
