Medical Reception/Administration

We are looking for a friendly, organised and reliable Medical Receptionist to join our growing surgical practice. This is a front-of-house role suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced medical environment and providing excellent patient care.

As many of our patients are elderly or may have hearing impairments, a clear, patient and compassionate communication style is essential. 

Key Responsibilities: 

-Greeting and assisting patients in a compassionate and professional manner

-Coordinating appointments, referrals, and follow-ups 

-Managing phone and email enquiries with care and efficiency 

-Processing Medicare and private billing 

-Patient registration and maintaining accurate medical records

-Providing general reception and administrative support to the specialists and team 


About You: 

-Previous experience in medical or specialist reception/admin is ideal

-Comfortable using medical software (e.g. Genie, Gentu, or similar)

-Professional, compassionate, with strong interpersonal skills 

-Great attention to detail and time management 

-Ability to multitask and remain calm in a busy environment

-Ability to work independently and as part of the team
