JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and friendly Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team of a busy 4-physician family medicine clinic. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and experience with electronic medical records systems. The Medical Receptionist will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations within our medical office. Medical office is located in an accessible medical building with elevator, plenty of parking, and accessible by public transit.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role within a medical or dental office is preferred.
  • Familiarity with PS Suite EMR software is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology to effectively communicate with patients and staff.
  • Experience in managing electronic medical records and understanding of office procedures is essential.
  • Strong administrative skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are required to interact with patients and team members effectively. Responsibilities
  • Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process.
  • Schedule appointments and manage the front desk efficiently using multi-line phone systems.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update electronic medical records (EMR) as necessary.
  • Process patient information and verify insurance eligibility.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless communication regarding patient care.
  • Ensure the reception area is organized and welcoming for patients.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and managing correspondence.
