Description

Alexander House Surgery is the highest achieving GP surgery in the area. We currently have an opportunity for another part time Medical Receptionist to join the team.
We are a friendly, patient orientated GP practice with over 10,000 patients, rated Good by the CQC and recently achieved 100% on the Quality out come Framework, something only 1% of surgeries in the country achieve. As a team we socialise regularly with nights out and even weekends away, most recently to Amsterdam! At Christmas we have a visit from Mr and Mrs Claus and encourage people to bring their children and grandchildren in. We understand that mental health and wellbeing is crucial post pandemic and offer various employee assistance programmes. In addition to this we have a cycle to work scheme, access to great NHS discounts and free, tea coffee, squash, biscuits and often home made cake in the kitchen! All employees have access to the very generous NHS pension scheme. In this role the employee would contribute 5.2% and the employer will contribute 14.8%.
What we are looking for in return is an enthusiastic, reliable and flexible person to join our Reception Team. The shift pattern available is as follows:
Monday 8.30am to 1pm, Tuesday 8.30am to 1pm, Wednesday 8.30am to 1pm, Thursday Day Off, Friday 2pm to 7pm. This is a total of 18.5 hours per week.
The successful applicant should have excellent people and customer service skills, be a strong and flexible team player, be computer literate and able to work on their own initiative.
The successful candidate must be flexible, and be able to provide extra cover for the team’s annual leave (between the hours 7.30am and 7pm Monday to Friday) as well as having;
- A friendly, professional and courteous manner
- Be capable of working in an extremely busy, fast paced environment
- Be adept at answering questions and dealing with patient queries
- Complete administration tasks in a timely and accurate manner
- Be motivated and work well as part of a team, but also able to work independently and make their own decisions
