SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 12 months experience as a medical receptionist (required)
  • Experience with Best Practice software (preferred)
  • Familiar with processing and receipting payments using TYRO, DVA, Workcover and Medicare billing
  • Comprehension of and dedication to patient confidentiality
  • Exceptional verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable and punctual
    Casual hourly rate is in accordance with Fair Work covered under the Health Professionals and Support Services Award 2020 (Modern Award) dependent on level of experience.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Medical Receptionist to join our team on a casual basis. This flexible role will likely offer 2-4 days per week, including one weekend per month.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Front desk management including all administration duties
  • Patient management; greeting and welcoming patients, answering phone enquiries, making, and confirming appointments; checking, processing, and managing customer accounts; and assisting callers with general enquiries
  • Maintenance of the Best Practice patient database
  • Processing and receipting payments using TYRO, DVA, Workcover and Medicare billing
  • General housekeeping and upkeep of reception area and Doctors consulting rooms.
