Receptionist Position in a General Practice
The key duties and responsibilities will include:
Reliable friendly attitude
Greet patients
Register patients according to established procedures and protocols·
Assist patients to complete all necessary forms and documents·
Ensure patient information is accurate including billing information·
Inform patients of medical practice procedures and policy·
Maintain and manage patient records if/as required·
Move patients through appointments as scheduled·
Answer incoming calls and deal with inquiries· Transfer calls as required·
Schedule patient appointments·
Attend to patient billing using the procedure/practice and software at the practice.·
Collect payments and/or process Medicare,DVA and other receipts·
Report statistics as required·
Schedule any tests, scans and other outside appointments for patients·
Obtain external medical or other reports as required by medical staff·
Respond and comply with requests for information·
Deal with incoming and outgoing post·
Complete other clerical duties as assigned and required·
Undertake other reasonable duties and tasks directed by Clinical staff, practice manager.·
Ensure that the reception area is well maintained, neat and clean at all times·
Safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality at all times
Required experience : 1-2 years Receptionist experience in Occupational Health Clinic and General Practice
