Description We are seeking a full-time Medical Receptionist/Clerical Assistant to join our dedicated office team! THIS POSITION IS FULL TIME. NO WEEKENDS, EVENINGS or HOLIDAYS! Job Summary: The Receptionist/ Clerical Assistant performs clerical duties in the back-business office related to routine administrative tasks and patient care. This position also performs receptionist duties to provide excellent customer service to patients and assists them in conducting business related to the office. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: The following duties are considered essential to the Clerical Assistant/Receptionist position. Qualified individuals must have the ability – with or without reasonable accommodation – to perform the following duties. Assists all staff with the daily clerical operations. Functions as a floater receptionist where needed, to complete the check in process for patients and visitors. Opens, sorts and distributes daily mail for the practice. Assists secretaries with maintaining work ques as assigned. Follows up on all outgoing referrals and maintains specific work ques (WQ 11551) in accordance with CCAY guidelines. Performs back office duties when assigned by answering phone calls in a prompt and courteous manner; screens and routes calls providing necessary information while assisting patients and other callers with all requests Maintains regular and punctual attendance. Complies with all practice policies and procedures including CCAY’s Code of Conduct. SECONDARY JOB DUTIES: The following duties are considered secondary to the essential functions listed above: Faxes and/or copies outgoing correspondence. Responsible for outgoing of daily mail. Delivers nursing prescriptions to AH Apothecary as needed. Distributes paperwork throughout all CCAY suites. Understands and is capable of scanning correspondence. Assists all staff in ordering/obtaining & deleting information for Iron Mountain. Interfaces continuously with staff regarding patient needs. Responsible for Providers lunches when lunch is not provided for office. Maintains stamp meter for office. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Essential Job-related Experience: Familiarity with computer operations including Microsoft Office. Preferred Job-related experience.
