Dame Street Medical Centre has a vacancy for a full time/ part time Receptionist who will work as part of a dynamic team in a fast- paced role. The ideal candidate would have some background experience in this area or in healthcare but full training will be provided. Excellent communication skills, polite telephone manner, good organizational skills & reasonable IT skills are also needed. The candidate will be fluent speaking & writing in English. Speaking Portuguese is also an advantage. The software used in the clinic is Helix Practice Manager experience using this program would be a big advantage.
Key areas of responsibility:
-Providing administrative support ie issuing referrals/ medical certificates/ patient letters and customer service, including greeting and checking in patients, taking card & cash payments and issuing receipts.
-Answering incoming telephone calls in a friendly, polite and helpful manner
- Following set procedures (for opening up the office, recording payments, appointment diary etc.)
- Good general computer skills and ability to learn new software(Helix Practice Manager)
-Communicating with hospitals / pharmacies / solicitors and insurance companies / other services and institutions as required to facilitate patient needs
-Ability to work and communicate with other members of team in a dynamic, multi-tasking , fast paced environment
-Ability to cover on occasion for other admin team members in respect of holiday leave / illness
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: €14.00-€18.00 per hour
