We are seeking a friendly, reliable Medical Receptionist to join our busy dermatology practice. The ideal candidate is professional, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced medical environment while providing excellent customer service to patients. Requirements Responsibilities - Greet patients and provide a welcoming, professional front-desk experience. - Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage patient flow. - Check patients in and out efficiently. - Verify patient demographics, insurance, and referrals. - Collect co-pays and outstanding balances. - Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR). - Coordinate with staff regarding schedules and patient needs. - Assist with prior authorizations and referrals as needed. - Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality. Qualifications - High school diploma is required. - At least 1 year of experience as a medical receptionist or healthcare front office staff in a medical practice is required. - Experience scheduling cosmetic and medical dermatology appointments ideal. - Knowledge of medical terminology is required; dermatology terminology is ideal. - Possess strong customer service and communication skills. - Comfortable with EMR systems and basic computer applications. - Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced setting. - Familiarity with insurance verification and prior authorizations. - Have a friendly and professional demeanor, strong attention to detail, be team-oriented and have a positive attitude.
