Position Summary: This is a wonderful opportunity to work in our family practice/urgent care as our valued team member. Successful candidate must maintain a professional image in the office and in all communications. Must be able to multi-task while maintaining good client and staff relations along with providing outstanding customer service. Essential Job Functions: Candidate will optimize patient satisfaction, provider time, and room utilization by scheduling appointments in person, by telephone or through computer software systems as well as answering questions and relaying information via phone and our patient portal as directed by providers. Will maintain patient records by obtaining and accurately recording patient demographic, insurance and billing information. Will collect co-payments at the time of service, receive payments on accounts and reconcile daily cash reports. Will respond appropriately to unexpected office events and situations and protect the rights of patients by maintaining confidentiality of personal, health and financial information. Will maintain operations by following policies and procedures and reporting needed changes. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Actively participate in our ACO initiatives. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Demonstrated excellent computer, telephone and communication skills. Medical office experience preferred. Outstanding customer service, organization and attention to detail. Must be a self-starter, a team player, dependable, friendly and professional. Must be able to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time. Hours: Monday-Sunday 8:00am-8:00pm. 40 weekly hours.
