Latrobe Regional Health is looking for Medical Receptionist to join our growing team on a Part Time 0.4 – 0.6 EFT On Going. We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Medical Receptionist to join the Gippsland Radiation Oncology team. Working within a small and supportive administration team, you will provide reception and administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of radiation oncology services and clinics. As the first point of contact for patients, families, and healthcare providers, you will play an important role in delivering exceptional customer service and supporting high-quality patient care. Working Together | We will respond to challenges together to create a safe, quality health service The role of the Medical Receptionist is to: Provide a welcoming and professional reception service, including answering phone enquiries, patient check-in/check-out, mail management, and Medicare billing. Schedule and coordinate patient appointments, treatments, and outpatient clinic bookings in a timely and efficient manner. Maintain accurate patient records through timely data entry, filing, and management of correspondence and documentation. Support the day-to-day administrative operations of the department, ensuring compliance with organisational policies and procedures. Collaborate effectively with clinical, medical, allied health, and administrative teams to support patient care and service delivery. Contribute to a positive patient experience by delivering high-quality customer service and maintaining a safe, person-centred environment. About you Ideal candidates for this role will have: Experienced administrator or receptionist with strong customer service skills and the ability to work effectively in a busy environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and data entry, with strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage professionally with a diverse range of patients and stakeholders. Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to changing demands. A collaborative team player who is flexible, reliable, and committed to providing exceptional support services.
