Job Description Join Griffith University’s dedicated Student Wellbeing and Accessibility team and contribute to a supportive, inclusive community that prioritises student and staff wellbeing. Based at the Brisbane South (Nathan) campus, this is a continuing 0.6 FTE (60%) part‑time Medical Receptionist (known internally as Student Services Officer) position. As the first point of contact, you will support students, clients, staff, and external agencies, working closely and in collaboration with teams across Health & Medical Services, Counselling & Wellbeing, Disability & Accessibility, Chaplaincy, and visiting health practitioners. Your responsibilities will include: providing high level administrative support managing client bookings for Student Wellbeing & Accessibility processing billings and undertaking financial reconciliation for the Health and Medical Service The clinic operates between 8.30am – 4.30pm Monday to Friday. This part-time position has fixed working days, making it best suited to candidates with ongoing availability and those able to commit to a consistent weekly schedule. Due to the set workday requirements of the role, this position may not be suitable for those with changing availability due to study or other commitments. The successful candidate will need to be available for varied rostered start times of 7.45am, 8am or 8.30am and available to work until 5pm. About you It is essential you have demonstrated experience as a Medical Receptionist working in a clinical/medical environment. In addition you are a team player, have excellent interpersonal skills, are respectful and willing to go the extra mile. you can multitask, provide high level administrative support across the unit, manage billing within the Health and Medical Services and be responsible for the management of cash and EFTPOS transactions and reconciliation. you are familiar with practice management systems (Genie and Point and Click preferred, but not essential), coordinating practitioner appointment books, appropriately triaging clients and adept at systems including Microsoft O365. highly developed customer service skills which will ensure you thrive in this role. It is also essential you be, and remain, vaccinated against the following vaccine preventable diseases during their employment: measles, mumps, rubella, varicella (chicken pox), pertussis (whooping cough) and hepatitis B. A blue card is required in this position, so either you need to have a blue card or be comfortable with obtaining a Blue Card (Griffith University will cover these costs). Salary range The full-time base salary is HEW Level 4, $76,126 - $80,321 + 17% superannuation. Actual salary will be 60% of this salary (this position is pro rata at 3 days per week).
