We are looking for a Part-time Receptionist/Administrator to work within our team. You need to be reliable, flexible and organised. General Practice experience preferred but training will be given to the right candidate.
To provide a point of contact for patients and act as a focal point of communication between patients, Clinicians and other staff
Accountable to: Management Team
Major Duties and Responsibilities of the Post:
Greet all patients and visitors in a courteous and polite manner, offering all reasonable assistance on reception desk or via telephone.
The role requires the staff member to have excellent IT skills.
The receptionist will provide support to all clinicians to enable the effective day to day running of the clinic.

Opening and closing of the Premises as per Practice protocol.
Welcome, and receive patients professionally and in a courteous manner.
Deal with queries effectively and efficiently in line with Practice Policies.
Manage the appointment system by booking appointments for patients with doctors and other members of the primary care team, and cancelling appointments as requested.
Ensure security of data in accordance with the GDPR/ Data Protection Act / Information Governance, following the appropriate protocol for recording and management of same.
Process repeat prescriptions as per clinical direction.
Scan hospital reports and letters. Ensuring that the scanning of patients correspondence is kept up to date at all times. Helping the records clerk to keep up to date with their scanning workload.
Ensure the waiting room is kept tidy, clean and welcoming.
To take, record and pass on messages accurately, for all staff.
Deal with registering patients, ensuring information such as Name, Address, GP Surgery, email address are accurate at the time of booking.
Know how to operate all office equipment.
Ensure the accurate maintenance of patient data, updating patient records as necessary.
Work additional hours to cover other members of staff for annual leave and periods of sick leave.
Be prepared to work additional hours on an ad hoc basis to complete specific pieces of work, as deemed appropriate by your Practice Manager.
Ensure all appropriate colleagues are aware of any information which needs to be passed from one shift to another.
Actively engage in internal and external training, courses and meetings, as required.
Any other duties deemed commensurate with individual skills and experience by Practice Manager.
