Position Summary: functions as a member of the clinical team performing a supportive role in the delivery of patient care that is safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient and equitable.
Position Key Accountabilities: welcoming and preparing the patient for their appointment, the medical receptionist informs patients of relevant and required information for their visit and provides clear communication around the services they are scheduled to receive.
*Checks-in patients in a timely manner.
*Answers phone calls to the clinic and provides information or refers questions to others.
*Verifies insurance timely and accurately as needed.
*Reviews all patient paperwork to ensure completeness and insures collection of necessary insurance information.
*Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications: must possess excellent communication and computer skills. Be responsible, reliable, trustworthy, and able to multi-task. A friendly, welcoming personality that makes a positive first impression of the practice.
