Our clinics in Bundaberg are currently seeking a Medical Receptionist to join the team on a Full time or Part-time basis. Working between our IWC clinic and the Friendly Society Private Hospital with core hours between 7am-5:30pm. Role Overview: As a Medical Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth clinic operations. Your responsibilities will include: Patient Interaction: * Greet patients and other callers professionally and courteously. * Assist patients with appointment scheduling. Administrative Tasks: * Manage medical records confidentially and efficiently. * Process patient payments (cash, Eftpos, direct billing). * Invoice Medicare, Private Health Funds, TAC/CTP, DVA and Workcover. * Handle internal emails and inquiries. * Maintain a tidy reception waiting area. Collaboration: * Work autonomously and as part of a team. * Communicate with referring doctors and hospital staff courteously. Confidentiality: * Maintain patient personal and financial information confidentiality. * Qualifications and Skills: * Excellent communication skills. * Intermediate computer skills (knowledge of medical software and Microsoft Office Suite).
