JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing excellent customer service while managing front desk operations in a busy medical clinic. This role requires proficiency in handling multi-line phone systems, scheduling appointments, and maintaining electronic medical records. A background in medical terminology and experience with EMR software, Telus PSS, desirable.
The initial contract is for Mondays and Tuesdays 9-5am, for four months, with the possibility of extending to be reviewed.
We are looking for a friendly, dedicated person, interested in working in a collaborative work environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar front desk role is preferred.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems ( Telus PSS).
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is essential for effective communication with patients and staff.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required for patient interactions.
  • Proficiency in administrative tasks, including data entry and managing office equipment.
