Responsibilities

ROLE SUMMARY

We are currently seeking a professional and compassionate Hospital Receptionist/ Patient Care Administrator to join our front-of-house and administrative team. This is a dual role that combines front desk reception duties with patient-facing care coordination and administrative support.
As the first point of contact for our patients, your role is vital in ensuring a seamless and supportive experience throughout their clinical journey. You will also be responsible for supporting the medical and management team with secretarial and operational tasks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greet patients and visitors in a warm, professional manner
  • Answer incoming calls and respond to enquiries via phone, email, and written correspondence
  • Schedule and manage appointments, consultations, and surgical bookings
  • Maintain clinician diaries and hospital timetables
  • Handle patient admissions, discharges, and coordination of pre-operative paperwork
  • Provide secretarial support including taking minutes, typing reports, and managing internal communications
  • Coordinate meetings, events, and clinical reviews
  • Liaise with consultants, patients, nursing teams, and external healthcare partners
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and uphold data protection standards
  • Ensure the reception area and patient waiting spaces are presentable and welcoming at all times
