As a Medical Receptionist, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our clinics operate smoothly and efficiently, supporting our clinical teams in delivering outstanding patient care. Local Doctors Watford (Otara) - Urgent Care & GP Clinic offers comprehensive medical services every day of the week from 8 am to 11 pm, including urgent care for minor injuries and illnesses, as well as general practice services for ongoing health needs. Our skilled team provides treatment for a wide range of conditions, manages long-term health issues like asthma and diabetes, and performs minor surgical procedures. We also offer additional services such as x-rays, dental care, pharmacy, and physiotherapy on-site. Located in the Otara shopping centre with ample parking and easy access to public transport, our multilingual, diverse team is dedicated to providing high-quality, accessible care. As part of this role, you may be required to cover overnight shifts at the White Cross Henderson and Ascot clinics, in line with business needs WORKING HOURS: * Hours: 32 hours per week  * Shifts: 08:00 pm – 4:30 am * Rate: Base rate + $10/hr for overnight KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Reception * Professionally greet and assist patients and visitors. * Efficiently manage patient flow. * Handle phone calls, messages, and appointments accurately. * Provide courteous assistance and escalate inquiries when necessary. * Manage patient enrolment. Waiting Room * Keep patients informed about wait times and emergencies. * Monitor and promptly address patient needs in the waiting room. Accounting * Accurately handle patient invoices and claims. * Process payments and manage banking tasks. * Complete various forms and maintain document accuracy. Privacy and Security * Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to security protocols. Health and Safety * Comply with all health and safety procedures and protocols. KEY SELECTION CRITERIA: Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge * Post-secondary qualification (Desirable). * Experience in medical reception or administration (Desirable). * Customer service background, Kiwi Host or similar training (Advantageous). * Excellent customer service, communication, and numerical skills. * Experience with cash handling and payments. * Well-developed computer literacy. * Experience working in fast-paced and high-demand environments.
