Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring, friendly, flexible receptionist to join our very busy GP practice based in Seaham.
Excellent customer service skills, telephone manner and IT knowledge is required. Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage, but training will be provided for the right person.

JOB SUMMARY:

To provide a point of contact for patients at Marlborough Surgery and act as a focal point of communication between patients, Doctors and other medical staff. To project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • Strong IT skills
  • Clear, polite telephone manner
  • Competent in the use of Office and Outlook
  • Effective time management (planning and organising)
  • Ability to work as a team member and autonomously
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to follow policy and procedure
    The post is subject to 2 satisfactory references and DBS clearance.
