WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Proven experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar customer service-oriented role is preferred but not essential
  • License and/or own transport to work across two locations - Marong & Inglewood - this is essential
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with patients, colleagues, and healthcare providers
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
  • Proficient in using medical practice management software and Microsoft Office applications
  • A friendly, empathetic, and professional demeanour with a commitment to providing high-quality customer service
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare industry regulations would be highly desirable

ABOUT THE ROLE

Marong Medical Practice Inglewood is seeking a friendly Medical Receptionist to join our team on a permanent part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive and dynamic medical practice environment, serving the local community. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the practice.
This role is based at our Inglewood clinic, 3 days a week (Wednesday - Friday). We are looking for someone who is willing and able to work autonomously and efficiently to support the doctors and patients.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Greet patients and visitors with a friendly and professional manner
  • Manage incoming calls and enquiries
  • Schedule appointments and coordinate the clinic calendar
  • Maintain accurate patient records and collect necessary documentation
  • Process billing (private, Medicare, WorkCover, etc.)
  • Provide helpful and compassionate support to patients
  • Liaise with clinical staff to support smooth daily operations
  • Ensure reception and waiting areas remain tidy and organised
