Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience as a Medical Administrator in a cardiac clinic is highly desirable
  • Graduate of a medical administration program or related office administration course preferred
  • Strong administrative skills with attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Knowledge and experience of EMR - Accuro is an asset
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficient in medical terminology to communicate effectively within the healthcare environment
  • Must have strong computer skills, experience with Microsoft office an asset
  • Team player with maturity in dealing with all contacts, providing a high level of patient service
  • Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude that will contribute to building a positive work environment
  • Must be legally able to work in Ontari

Responsibilities
  • Registering and arriving patients, verifying patient information is up to date and accurate, while making the appropriate changes in the EMR.
  • Answer and coordinate telephone calls, voicemails, and inquiries, processing them in a timely manner while providing accurate information
  • Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness when entering information into the EMR (Electronic Medical Record) system
  • Communicate with team members, patients, families, and external parties to ensure exceptional patient experience
  • Manage confidential information in a sensitive and professional manner
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to prioritize competing priorities with frequent interruptions
  • Maintain an organized and welcoming environment
