Pediatric Otolaryngology Associates is looking for a 32-36 hour/week Medical Receptionist to join our team! The prospective candidate needs to have outstanding computer and articulate telephone skills as data entry and patient family interaction are major priorities in the job responsibilities. The position’s responsibilities include: * answering phones and patient telephone triage * scheduling appointments * patient demographics/correspondence maintenance * check-in/check out tasks * ability to explain and answer questions about a patient’s health insurance plan * experience with Athena and/or Qure4U is a plus. Preferred experience: * Previous experience in a medical office or other healthcare setting (1 year preferred) * Knowledge of EMR and/or Medical Communication systems (1 year preferred) * Knowledge of medical terminology (1 year preferred) * Knowledge of HIPAA regulations (for confidentiality) * Knowledge of insurance coverage * Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel) programs) Finally, for our small physician practice, the applicant we prefer would: * have confidence in their interpersonal skills * enjoy working as a member of a team * be detail-oriented * be an adaptable learner * have excellent time-management/multi-tasking skills. Job Types: Full-time (32-36 hours) Compensation ranges from $17.50 - $18.50 hour commensurate with experience. A benefits package is available after 90 days.
