We are currently seeking a highly motivated Medical Receptionist/Admin Assistant to join our Specialist Paediatric Clinic Paedix in Spring Hill. The ideal candidate should be a well-organized worker with a passion for positive patient experiences, with an outgoing and optimistic outlook.
The desired candidate will be a professional and friendly representative of our clinic, who will be responsible for maintaining our commitment to timely and quality care, excellent customer service, and providing administrative support to the clinic while working as a team. The role will involve full administrative duties as well as liaison with patients and other medical professionals.

The successful candidates will be responsible for:

  • Managing telephone and patient enquires, scheduling appointments for patients within the practice, billings, messages, and other general administrative duties;
  • Maintaining patient files, handling mail, email, faxes, and scanning;
  • Ensuring the Medical Centre is tidy and presentable; and
  • Communicating with a diverse range of health professionals.
  • Other ad-hoc tasks that might be needed in the office from time to time

To be considered for this role applicants must have the following:

  • Professional and personable telephone manner;
  • Proficient computer skills;
  • Demonstrated initiative, time management and flexibility;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; and
  • High standard of presentation and attention to detail; and the
  • Ability to multi-task in a busy environment.

Experience in medical administrative roles is highly desirable but not a requirement as some on the job training will be provided. If you have a great attitude and you are looking for a role that will challenge your skills and abilities. You must be comfortable catching public transport to work as there is no onsite parking available.
Remuneration will be based on fair work award rates.
About our business:
Paedix is specialised paediatric clinic in Spring Hill, next to Brisbane CBD (close to central station and bus stops). This is a casual role from Monday to Thursday every week (9am to 1pm) when clinics are on.
