Who We Are Paul Phillips Eye & Surgery Center is a physician-owned multi-specialty ophthalmic practice that offers comprehensive eyecare services in surgical and medical retina, cataract and refractive surgery, uveitis, glaucoma, pediatrics, oculoplasties, contact lens fitting and supply, and full service optical. The main location is in Flemington, NJ with two satellite offices in Bridgewater, NJ and Clinton, NJ. Who You Are We are seeking a professional and friendly Medical Receptionist to join our busy ophthalmology practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the front desk and provide exceptional customer service to patients and visitors. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about ophthalmology and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. Work hours and shifts may fluctuate. Must be able to work from our multiple locations. What You'll Do Greet patients and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner and provide clear directions and information as needed. Manage the front desk, including answering phones, responding to emails, and coordinating patient appointments and scheduling. Utilize Nextgen, our electronic health record system, to efficiently manage patient records and communicate with our healthcare team. Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions and addressing concerns in a timely and professional manner. Verify patient insurance and confirm eligibility. Collect and post patient payments and process payment batches daily. Process correspondence to referring physicians and patients. Perform clerical duties which may include scanning, filing, and faxing Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette and ensure that all phone calls are handled professionally and efficiently. Maintain a clean and organized reception area, including ensuring that all necessary supplies and equipment are readily available. Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient office operations. Other duties as assigned. What You Bring High school diploma or equivalent Required Experience working in a medical or ophthalmology office Strong customer service skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Strong organizational and communication skills. Punctual and good attendance.
