Are you looking to work with a great team of individuals who care about you? Our private pediatric office is looking for part-time Receptionists. We are looking for hard-working individuals with strong customer services skills.
Requirements: High School graduate/GED. College degree or certificate of office courses preferred, not required. General computer skills and proficiency. Ability to interact with all ages of the public.
Experience: Pediatric or Maternal Child Health office experience preferred but not required. Experience with electronic health records preferred but not required.
General Description: The pediatric office receptionist assists patients and their families. The receptionist provides compassionate service to patients and their families. The receptionist maintains the organization of the front office and ensures the medical environment is welcoming for patients and their families. The office receptionist functions as a part of the health care team.

Essential Functions:

  • To function as a member of healthcare team and maintain competencies as part of the Medical Home.
  • To maintain strict patient confidentiality.
  • To respond to patients and families in a helpful and emphatic manner.
  • To review electronic registration platform, Phreesia, for updated insurance and pharmacy information and any clinical forms needed for visit.
  • To greet patients upon arrival, check them in and obtain any necessary information not gathered through Phreesia.
  • To answer phones and determine who appropriate party is to handle the caller’s needs.
  • To communicate effectively and respectfully with office staff.
  • To process payments from patients.
  • To schedule appointments.
  • To file patient medical information in the patient’s electronic medical record as it arrives from outside sources; to include the fax inbox.
  • All other duties as required
