Description

We are currently seeking a friendly, professional, and highly organized individual to join our team as a Receptionist at our well-established GP surgery in North London. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and visitors in a warm and welcoming manner.
  • Register new patients, update existing patient records, and maintain accurate and confidential patient information.
  • Schedule appointments and manage the appointment system efficiently.
  • Answer telephone calls, handle inquiries, and direct calls to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
  • Liaise with Doctors, Nurses, and other staff members to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient operations.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing emails, filing and data entry.
  • Handle patient queries, provide information on services, and address general inquiries.
  • Process prescriptions.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and waiting room.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge or EMIS.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Previous experience in as a medical receptionist
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to empathize and interact effectively with a diverse range of patients and colleagues.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and electronic medical record software.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Respect for patient confidentiality and a commitment to maintaining data protection standards.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings, as per the surgery’s needs.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 30 per week
