Medical receptionist/administrator
Salary: Depending on experience
30 hours per week
Alternate Weekends at an enhanced rate 1pm-5pm
Experience using Emis Web is desirable - full training will be given to right candidate
Responsibilities:
-Admin duties including but not limited to: patient referrals, patient registrations, document management.
- Greet and check-in patients as they arrive at the medical office
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments
- Collect and update patient information, including medical history and insurance details
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate staff members
- Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy of information
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a medical office or similar administrative role is essential
- Emis web experience preferred
- Proficient in using office software such as Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team at Showell Park Health Centre.
We are looking for a motivated, and flexible medical receptionist/administrator to join our busy practice. You will be responsible for all reception duties; face to face and telephone care for patients, staff and visitors, and administration duties. You will need excellent customer service and communication skills. Flexibility with regards to working hours and be able to work weekends on a pro rota basis will be essential for this post.
A background in primary care or NHS administration is essential. The ability to remain calm and work under pressure, along with experience of working with the public.
The candidate will be available to work weekends pro rota and some bank holidays. Our weekend opening hours are Saturday 1-5.
One day is never the same, the role requires someone with exceptional communication skills, good customer service knowledge and the ability to interact well with a wide range of personalities. It is a busy Medical Centre therefore, the ability to work under pressure is a must. It is pivotal that you are a team player, working collectively to excel patient care.
The role will vary from, front house reception, administrative duties and telephony duties.
