JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks in a busy medical environment. This role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in a medical or healthcare setting is essential.
  • Strong administrative skills with proficiency in office software applications. Emis & Docman
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a professional demeanour.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities.
  • A compassionate approach towards patient care and customer service.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is advantageous but not mandatory.

  • Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
  • Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar.
  • Handle incoming calls, directing them appropriately and responding to inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality in accordance with data protection regulations.
  • Process patient registrations and verify insurance information.
  • Assist with billing inquiries and coordinate with insurance companies as needed.
  • Perform general office duties such as filing, faxing, and data entry.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure smooth operations within the practice.
