Description

Established Medical Centre in Sydney CBD is seeking an enthusiastic, friendly and caring receptionist who shares the vision of providing high quality health care. As the first point of contact for all patients, you will importantly represent the practice and help maintain, promote and build its reputation.
We are a very busy general practice located in Sydney CBD within close proximity public transport. We are passionate about providing quality health care to our patients.
The ideal candidate is hard working, customer focused, and a team player. The ability to multi task, have attention to detail, be organised and punctual is desired.
As the practice is fully computerised, we will require the candidate to be IT proficient.
We are seeking someone who is able to join the practice long term.
The practice is well supported by both Principal Doctors, a Practice Manager and providing great facilities and a friendly environment to work in.
This is a CASUAL position with regular weekly rostered hours
The successful applicant will work alongside our team of enthusiastic and supportive receptionists in the important role as the first point of contact for our patients and in support to ensure the smooth operations of all daily reception aspects of the practice.
We are a very busy practice and are looking for a friendly and self-motivated new medical reception team member.
You need to be able to multitask and be efficient on computers and all tasks.
In this busy role you will be expected to handle phones, patients, and doctors’ requests simultaneously.

Experience:

  • Medical admin: 1 year (Preferred)

Responsibilities
  • Open and Closing of the clinic.
  • Greeting of practice patients and phone calls in a professional manner.
  • Managing appointment book, billing, scanning incoming mail, Reports and general reception duties.
  • Managing of claims to Medicare and DVA, processing of workers compensation claims, issuing invoices/receipts and all private billings, Hicaps
  • Daily banking reconciliation
  • Confirming, enter and updating patient registrations and patient notes in computer
  • Attend to account queries including recalls and reminders
  • Ensuring of compliance in emergency situations
  • Exercising confidentiality in relation to patient care and all aspects of the practice
  • Ensuring that patients are not required to wait excessive periods of time for an appointment, and that patients are informed of possible delays.
  • Maintaining the practice social media profile and website
  • The practice online booking system, email campaigns and patient reminders
  • Assist practice nurse with chronic disease registers
  • Exporting and importing of patient records
  • Online claiming reconciliation
  • Power point presentations for tv waiting screen
  • Pip registration of closing the gap patients
  • Stock ordering
  • Restocking of medical supplies and stationery/office consumables in each consulting room.
  • Involvement in quality improvement programs and patient feedback initiatives
  • Other miscellaneous admin tasks and House Keeping/Cleaning duties.
