Description

MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST

We serve around 12000 patients in our community and our clinical team includes 3 GP Partners, 5 Salaried GPs, 2 Advanced Nurse Practitioners, 1 Practice Nurse and an experienced admin team.
We require you to have good communication, computer skills and a proactive attitude. Experience of working in a GP Surgery and use of Vision and Docman desirable but not essential, as training will be given.

Duties include

  • dealing with patients at reception and by phone
  • booking and cancelling appointments
  • signposting patients to appropriate services
  • issuing prescriptions
  • processing mail and other administrative duties as required

You should possess great attention to detail and must be able to maintain patient confidentiality at all times and able to work on your own and also as part of a team.
Working 25 hours between the hours of 8-6 Monday to Friday between both our sites. You must have flexibility to cover annual leave and sickness.
Experience preferred but not essential. The position benefits from the NHS Pension Scheme.
