ProHealth Physicians, part of Optum, has an immediate opening for a friendly, patient-focused and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist. This is a full-time position (40 hours), Monday – Friday. May be asked to float to other practices for coverage if needed. Location: 415 KILLINGWORTH RD HIGGANUM, CT 06441 Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:45am – 5:15pm (first 3 weeks of training will be Monday – Friday, 8am – 4:30pm). Primary Responsibilities: Conduct check-in and check-out process Answer incoming calls and use EHR to document details of patient inquiries Conduct outreach to patients requiring appointments or service follow-up Schedule appointments using standard scheduling protocols Manage administrative in-basket pools and work queues Scan documents into the EHR per standard protocols Balance payments and prepare deposits Protects patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information Provide coverage at other ProHealth locations on an ad hoc basis Perform other duties as assigned What are the reasons to consider working for UnitedHealth Group?
