As a Business Services Representative in our Urology Office, you’ll be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming and seamless experience from check-in to check-out. Your role includes greeting patients, answering calls, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, collecting copays, and processing referrals. You'll also provide essential clerical support to providers and staff, helping to keep our practice running smoothly. What you will do: Greets and communicates with patients via phone or in person in a courteous and professional manner identifying themselves and their department. Answers telephones in a timely, courteous, and professional manner utilizing appropriate scripting. Processes calls to ensure patients are transferred to the appropriate staff member/provider in a timely manner. Schedules patient appointments based on department protocols in order to maximize provider productivity. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Experience within a medical office or billing department preferred. Knowledge of patient billing and medical terminology preferred Excellent keyboard skills. Requires proficiency in a Windows based computer environment and Microsoft Office products.
