Job Title: Medical Records Project Coordinator
Location: Hybrid in NY (Must be able to travel to all 5 boroughs as needed, will reimburse for travel)
Salary Range:$20 - $23 hrly (negotiable)
Contract Length: 12 months (with strong potential for extension)
Education: High School Diploma or GED required
4 Corner Resources is looking for multiple Medical Record Project Coordinators to help support a critical CMS audit initiative within a leading healthcare organization. We’re looking for detail-oriented professionals with strong organizational and communication skills to help manage medical documentation workflows. This role is ideal for individuals with healthcare or administrative experience looking to contribute to a high-impact compliance project. This position will require you to travel to all 5 boroughs as needed to retrieve medical records from provider offices. Travel will be reimbursed.

Requirements:

  • Must have hands on Medical records experience (organizing medical records, ensuring accuracy and completeness).
  • Must have experience making outbound calls to providers offices.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and handling of medical documentation
  • At least 1 year of experience handling medical record retrival, requesting or managing patient records
  • Experience handling outbound calls to providers
  • Experience using Microsoft Office tools, especially Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Prior exposure to PEGA or other audit tools preferred
  • Familiarity with CMS Risk Adjustment programs preferred
  • Industry certifications such as RHIT, RHIA, or CMA are a plus

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Request and track medical records from healthcare providers
  • Review and organize documentation and service dates for select patients
  • Upload records to a proprietary platform for internal and regulatory use
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timelines and accuracy of audit submissions
  • Verify completeness and formatting of medical records prior to submission
  • Support audit coordination by ensuring documents is stored, named, and managed properly in the system
  • Assist in audit-related projects, reporting, and compliance checks as needed
