 Check new admissions for completion of required data to meet Licensing and Certification requirements.  Assembles new admissions records, indexes and codes diagnoses.  Maintain medical records according to records retention guidelines.  Audit medical records.  Process and file records of discharged residents  Process and respond to medical records requests and document subpoenas.  Maintain adequate supply of recommended forms at the nurse’s station.  Verifies MDS and Care Plan completions as scheduled.  Assists physicians as requested.
