Description Greater Nashua Mental Health is looking for a full-time Medical Records Associate to join our team! The Medical Records Associate ensures that medical records meet the standards set forth in state and federal laws and regulations. Fulfills internal and external medical records request by processing and monitoring the timely and accurate release of records to requestors. Supports agency staff with the process for releasing information and advises on appropriate procedures. Duties & Responsibilities: Scans and indexes client records into Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Fulfills internal and external medical records requests Monitors, processes, and distributes incoming faxes, and processes interoffice and external mail Forwards documents to appropriate agency staff for completion Pulls records for monthly shredding Processes Continuity of Care Documents (CCD) and enters into EMR Fulfills SSA and DHHS requests Requests medical records from outside facilities and/or providers Answer incoming external and internal phone calls to the department to assist with record inquiries, general questions, etc. Reviews records to determine deficiencies and reports to the Medical Records Senior Associate and Medical Records Supervisor for corrective action Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned Requirements Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required Experience with office equipment Familiarity with NH Community Mental Health System Proficient with computers and software programs, including Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), and EMR clinical software Strong collaborating skills, and an ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines; high energy, self-motivated, proactive, and detail oriented Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask, and be flexible with regard to workload and assignments Ability to exercise judgment Why Join Us: We are looking for collaborative, curious for knowledge people with a “can do” mentality to join our team of compassionate employees!
