This position is in Medical Records, the person must be reliable and knowledgeable of medical terms . Duties include: Under supervision and guidance of the Medical Records Director, the clerk is responsible for Filing records, assisting in audits, and collecting information. Analyzing, abstracting, compiling data, and generating reports. Processing discharge papers. Clarifies documentation with Physician and Director as needed. This position requires ability to maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality of medical information. Must provide excellent customer service when dealing with internal and external contacts. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Other duties will be assigned on a as needed basis, such as the ability to follow instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Manages daily workload and consistently finishes on a daily basis. Keeps up with workload during high census periods, and participates in special projects, during low census period. Education: HS Diploma Flexible Knowledgeable of Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Willing to learn. Will train.
