Description PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES A. ADMINISTRATIVE: Maintains Health Record System according to Federal, State, and Companyregulations and policies. Maintains a safe and sanitary working environment. B. SUPERVISORY: Meets unit work goals through assignment of staff to resident care needs. Monitors staff performance through coaching and praising. Recognizes effective performance (or) takes direct corrective action after coaching/counseling as needed. C. CONSUMER SERVICE: Presents professional image to consumers through dress, behavior, and speech. Adheres to company standards for resolving consumer concerns. Ensures that all consumer and resident rights are protected. D. QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma required. Strong written and verbal skills in English for business necessity. Administrative and organizational abilities necessary. Basic computer skills required. Knowledge of medical terminology required. Previous experience in a healthcare setting required. Prior Health Record experience preferred. Supervisory experience preferred.
Responsibilities
The Medical Records Coordinator maintains the Health Record System in compliance with regulations and ensures a safe working environment. They also supervise staff to meet unit work goals and monitor performance through coaching and recognition.
