Medical Records Coordinator – Full Time   The Lutheran Center at Poughkeepsie, Inc. is seeking a full time Medical Records Coordinator to ensure the efficient operation of the Medical Records department, including administrative functions and supervision of Unit Secretary and Reception staff.   This role is responsible for Health Information Management practices and for ensuring compliance with HIPAA requirements related to medical records. The successful candidate demonstrates initiative, sound judgment, credibility, and a strong results-oriented approach.   Strong supervisory, interpersonal, patience, and diplomacy skills are essential, along with the ability to foster a positive, employee-friendly work environment. The position also serves as a strategic partner to the clinical team on medical records matters and works collaboratively as part of the interdisciplinary team.   Education and/or Experience   * BA/BS in Medical Records highly or equivalent combination of experience and education.   * Credentials Health Information Management Administrator or Registered Health Information Technician certification highly desired.   * Must have a minimum of 2 years comprehensive abstracting and ICD-10 coding experience.  * Previous experience managing clerical level employees a plus.    Rate:  $29.00 - $33.00 Based on Experience     We offer medical, dental, vision, 3 weeks’ vacation, 10 holidays, 4 personal days, 12 sick days, tuition reimbursement, and a 403(b) to eligible employees.    Lutheran Care Center is a 160-bed nonprofit nursing and rehabilitation facility located in the heart of the Hudson Valley, and the care of our residents always comes first.
