Colfax Health and Rehab is looking for a Medical Records Manager to take charge of our resident records and ensure everything is accurate, secure, and compliant. What You’ll Be Doing: Keep records complete and up-to-date — both digital and hard copy Audit charts, enter data, and compile stats like admissions, discharges, and more Coordinate timely physician visits and documentation Maintain HIPAA compliance and serve as the go-to resource for privacy questions Participate in billing accuracy checks (Medicare/Managed Care triple check) Keep the workspace organized, secure, and efficient What You Bring to the Table: Solid understanding of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations Sharp attention to detail and strong organizational skills Great communication skills with residents, families, and team members Leadership experience and ability to motivate a team Computer savvy — PCC experience is a plus! Requirements Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, or similar degree, preferred. Experience Six months experience in a long term care environment preferred. Two years’ experience as a Medical Records Clerk or with record keeping responsibility in a health care setting preferred. PCC experience preferred.
