MEDICAL RECORDS OFFICER - MATERNITY COVER

One Ashford Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a medical records officer to join our friendly and dynamic team on a 12 month fixed term maternity contract. If you have a passion for organisation this may be the perfect role for you.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who can utilise their existing administrative and organisational skills within our fast-paced Hospital environment. The successful candidate will be required to work predominately within medical records. Full training will be provided.
You will need to be a confident multi-tasker with excellent attention to detail who works well to tight deadlines.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • GCSE in Maths and English or equivalent qualification

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
  • Previous administration experience
  • Relevant experience within an administrative role

  • To be able to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Administration Lead, the successful medical records officer responsibilities will include:

  • providing a high standard of customer service
  • liaising with patients and key stakeholders to complete booking requirements
  • ensuring our main reception duties and enquiries are handled professionally with a focus on delivering good customer service at all times
  • providing administrative support to both the inpatient and outpatient teams, including managing the appointment system, ensuring that patient records and all relevant documentation are processed accurately & assisting with audits
  • Ability to book outpatient diagnostic imaging appointments on an ‘as and when’ requirement.

Shifts:
Shifts will be allocated on an ‘as and when required’ basis to assist with periods of annual leave and sickness.
