The Tech also reviews medical records for accuracy and completeness and provides assistance to clients and outside agencies regarding medical record inquires. Essential Functions Maintains medical records operations by following policies and procedures Reviews medical record documents for accuracy by reviewing information on paper documents and notifying departments of deficiencies prior to scanning into chart Provides medical record information by answering questions and requests of patients, employees, law firms, insurance companies, and government agencies Maintains client confidentiality and follows all privacy policies and procedures. Follows release-of- information protocols. Processes and delivers mail to post office as required Manages equipment and resources efficiently Requirements Education High School diploma or equivalent Preferred Qualifications One year of experience with medical records
